aka Das, Yan.Ka or Kandy
Yan.Ka was first attracted the world of electronic music in the beginning of the 90's and he rapidly learnt the art of mixing. In 1997 he became resident at the Veaudoux Club in Monthey thanks to his fine selection, pertinent mixing techniques and dance floor control. At this time he was one of the few local Djs to play in clubs and events as far as the Jura. His dark, brut techno was all the rave and he performed at huge events such as “Goliath” the mythical rave held for literally thousands of people in Roggwill.
In 2000 he created the PKSystem collective and organized over 20 events through out the region of the Lake Leman, sharing his flare for the new talent of the underground.
His sets, tainted with melancholic minimal techno and electro, are sometimes dark and tend to swerve to the more “intellectual” form of music but are always festive and rhythmic, keeping the dance floor in perpetual suspense.
!Organism
In the spring of 2008 Yann, unable to ignore the call of creativity and his natural ear for new sounds, decided to create his own label !Organism. His aim is to offer a platform for artists who have the same approach to the music that he so loves and to share this passion with as many as possible. The label produces Techno/Minimal.
